		<description>I admire Mr. Jobs&#039; childlike faith in the major labels, but this is a bit like the mayor wishing to do away with police forces as long as everyone agrees not to break the law.  DRM schemes are hardly effective enforcers of IP rights, by any means, but they are the only leverage the labels think that they have.

You don&#039;t persuade folks to give up their only &lt;i&gt;perceived&lt;/i&gt; protection by pointing out that the other 90% of their stuff is willfully unprotected.  That will only encourage them to come up with ways to force DRM schemes into the unprotected areas.</description>
