Credibility Gap

I know that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but this promotion doesn’t exactly inspire confidence:

Hand-painted sign on back of truck trailer: "NEED A WEBSITE 325-9417"

Funny :-)
Maybe the owner of that trailer needs a website and would like web designers to call him/her? That would certainly explain the message being formulated as a statement (“Need a website”) rather than as a question (“Need a website?”).
Anyway, I’ve seen sites designed by people who clearly had a poorer grasp of aesthetics than whoever painted that :-)

Alternatively, the person could be targeting people who don’t have a website yet, in which case offline advertising may be more appropriate.
