Where to Stay in Minneapolis (May 6th–8th)?

I’m helping out with BarCamp Minneapolis, a.k.a. MinneBar, which takes place on May 7th. The event takes place at Best Buy’s headquarters out in Richfield, and we out-of-towner helper-outers are staying downtown. If you know any good and reasonably-priced hotels in an interesting but not sketchy part of downtown, please let me know in the comments or drop me an email!

Alas, I’ve far too many relatives in the Twin Cities area to know anything about hotels in the metropolis. :-P

There isn’t much for cool/boutique lodging, but it’s Minneapolis, so nothing is really expensive by coastal city standards. The Westin at 88 S. 6th St. has an over the top bar built into a 1930s bank. The Graves 601 smack in the middle of what passes for nightlife here and has Bradstreet which makes a fine cocktail. The Hotel Ivy is nice too, and has a great spa.
