My grandfather used to instruct folks on the care and feeding of DEWLine equipment–you know, line-of-sight radar stuff up in the Arctic, way back when. He found that animist explanations worked best with the local folks. When speaking of problems with the tech, the explanations would sound like “He doesn’t like that.”
