I have to admit that the “What if?” questions for PHP, VB, and VB.NET — probably the least-respected languages in this list — made me laugh out loud:
- PHP: What if we wanted to make SQL injection easier?
- VB: What if we wanted to allow anyone to program?
- VB.NET: What if we wanted to stop them again?

Funny, I used to really enjoy VB. This is a great list even if I don’t know much about a lot of these languages.
