Maybe it’s me, but I think that this setup is asking for Murphy’s Law to attack when you least expect it. However, if you’re short a laptop bag and have a hooded sweatshirt handy, this hack might work for you:

The website it comes from trips my browser’s Google Safe Browsing feature, so I am not going to link to it directly, but the stop-motion YouTube video seems to make it clearer than the set of pictures that the sweatshirt’s hood is getting wrapped around the laptop, making it less likely that it will come out.
